SUNCORP STADIUM: FILLED WITH HISTORY

 

Suncorp Stadium, located in Brisbane, Queensland, is one of the most iconic sporting arena’s Australia has on offer. Epic State of Origin battles have been fought here, and many NRL Premierships have been underpinned by the Brisbane Broncos performances here over the past few decades.

Beynon Acrylics is the latest addition to this ever-growing history.

PROJECT READY FOR STATE OF ORIGIN

 

In 2022, FieldTurf Australia combined forces with Grassports Australia (QLD) to introduce the Beynon Acrylics range to the Australian sporting public and market, just in time for the State of Origin 3 decider in July.

The area required to be covered was the entrance area of Suncorp Stadium, with Wally Lewis’s statue providing the aesthetically pleasing sight right in the middle of this area.

FieldTurf Australia and Grassports Australia (QLD) understood the challenges and constraints this project would present, as Suncorp Stadium receives a high amount of traffic week in, week out. This can include cars, forklifts, and thousands of spectators attending sporting events on a regular basis.

This required a solution tailored to the facilities and surrounding areas, here Beynon Heavy Duty was created.

 

BEYNON HEAVY DUTY, FOR HEAVY TRAFFIC

 

Beynon Heavy Duty Premium Industrial Grade Top Coat was made specifically for this project. Beynon Heavy Duty is a premium industrial grade tough & durable coloured water-based coating for concrete, asphalt, marble & stone for Sports Surfaces and Industrial floors.

Understanding this, Beynon Heavy Duty is a product modified to include Acrylic polymer technology AND a premium water based aliphatic polyurethane. This polyurethane modification brings substantial durability on all fronts. These include scuff, mar, water, and corrosion resistance.

What advantages does this water-based polyurethane bring to Beynon’s Acrylic surfaces? It is completely clear, odourless, easy to clean up with water, and dries quickly.

SUPPORT & SAFETY : A CLASS ABOVE

 

In addition to coating, BSS Stain Block and BSS Concrete Weld Primer support protection against rust and oil stains by neutralising and stabilising these contaminants to prevent bleed through to the surface.
